TIPS ON TALKING

Reading books are just the first step to an on-going life-long conversation with your child about donor conception (and surrogacy).
Many parents start talking about donors when their kids are infants, so that they will get more comfortable with the whole thing. They might tell their babies things like “Oh you are a beautiful little girl, with amazing green eyes! I think you might have gotten those eyes from your donor!”

It may feel easier to start talking with your pre-schooler about their donor if you’ve already been “practicing” for years.
